Don’t think hydraulic knowledge is important? Think again. If your hydraulics go out, you’ll literally have no way of controlling the aircraft.

So unless you want to fall out of the sky, or not even get in the sky, you’ll need to know a heck of a lot about hydraulics.

You needn’t be afraid, though. The 777 has an incredible amount of redundancy, and controls most of the system operation automatically.
