PMDG talks FSX vs. FS9

Recently, PMDG has been discussing their decision to drop the FS9 version for any of their up and coming products. There are some pretty big things in the pipeline, including the 737, Dash-8, and 777 which a lot of people, including me, are excited about. We discuss the points in this post.

Aviator90 and ORBX= Pure Awesome

I asked John, ‘Would it be possible to use your yet to be released Pacific North West scenery as the backgrop for Aviator90’?
I got a quick and resounding YES.

Beating the Storm… Or Wait

One Six Right

Tonight Trevor shared with me the link to a film (legally shared and hosted) that really touches my heart when it comes to aviation. In fact, I believe out of any movie out there, even more so than Top Gun (yes, blasphemy, I said it) shows how much we all love aviation. Their signature and therefore their butt is on the line….BUT…You shouldn’t bet your life on that.

Sunrise Flying East

As the autopilot took me the rest of the way, I just watch in awe as the horizon turned from black, to a deep red, then to a light orange witha purplish sky. So still, smooth and breathtaking. I couldn’t believe my eyes and took in every last ounce of the rising sun.

I thank God for moments like this. There is no other way to say it. It is moments like this that I just love being a pilot. But during these times I can’t help but reflect back on my own personal journey and realize that it’s been a road that hasn’t always been easy, but the moments like this sure make it worth it.
