You’re probably on this site because you want great flight sim training. I hope you’ll indulge me for this tradition that I do every year. It’s important, so please listen up.
Today is ‘Thanksgiving Day’ in the United States.
On this day we all watch american football, eat WAY too much food, and we just hang out with family and have a great time.
But I think it’s also a day to reflect on my own life, and perhaps you would like to as well, regarding all the things I have to be grateful for.
I certainly don’t want to list off all the personal things I am grateful for here, but I do want to share my deepest gratitude for what we have HERE.
I’ve been around at Angle of Attack now for about 5 years.
It’s had it’s ups and downs, but for the most part it’s been an amazing and fulfilling journey.
You would think that perhaps the most important thing to me would be to have a successful business, which then equates to a successful financial situation. But that is NOT the case.
The absolute most fulfilling thing to me is when I get an email from one of you (and I’ve personally corresponded with many of you) sharing your story, why you love flightsim, and also how thankful you are for our stuff.
No amount of money will ever replace the joy I feel when I get someone writing me excited and grateful for the good work we’re doing for the flightsim community.
We LOVE flying here at Angle of Attack, and we love to share that passion and love with you.
Now, I know that many of you are not able to become real pilots because of medical or financial reasons. I too have had many challenges throughout my life.
But what do all of us have to be thankful for?
I would be bold to say Flightsim is one of them. It fulfills us in some way if we aren’t able to fly for real. But I’m thankful for all of you even more. The community. The person who takes an hour to load up a flight with every detail set just right. The person flying inverted over the Alps in an F18, the cargo jet jocket taking virtual cargo around the world, or the bush pilot dropping in on a small lake.
We all have so much to be thankful for.
So…
Please share what YOU are thankful for, whatever that is, even if it’s flight simulator itself. Maybe share ‘why’ you’re thankful for it too so it can have some meaning.
You guys ROCK.
My dear friends,
